About the Series

The Cocoletters are intimate visual love notes — born from the belief that love doesn’t need many words, just the right ones. Each piece captures a single, honest feeling: unguarded, tender, true. They come from the same place as my Unmasking work. If that series is about what’s underneath — who I am when no one’s performing — the Cocoletters are what happens once the mask is already off: the small, undefended things I’d say to someone I love, if I let myself say them out loud. Whether meant for a partner, a friend, or family, a Cocoletter speaks what the heart often struggles to say.

YOU SMELL LIKE LOVE is one of my favorites — a simple, sensory truth turned into art. It speaks to that quiet, unmistakable feeling of closeness: the scent of someone you love, familiar and comforting, imprinted on memory long after they’ve left the room.

Rendered in soft washes with expressive, handwritten-style linework, the piece carries warmth without needing to explain itself. Hand-applied highlights give it a gentle shimmer — a living, breathing presence rather than a flat image.
